Wallpaper strippers

Once you have selected wallpaper rolls, you are almost ready to start wallpapering. In a new-build home, all walls are bare and there is no obstacle to wallpapering. But perhaps you have a wallpaper print on the wall in your current home. It is not possible to wallpaper over this. The old wallpaper must first be removed, but how are you going to do that?

Removing wallpaper is easier with the use of a wallpaper stripper. Water is heated with a wallpaper steamer. This releases steam which is held against the wallpaper. In this way the adhesive layer is loosened. This makes it easy to start tearing off the old wallpaper. This way, removing wallpaper still remains a fun activity!

As soon as you have steamed the wallpaper properly, it will peel off as stated. You can then pull a piece loose and pull it further. It is very possible that adhesive residue remains on the wall. It is therefore also advisable to use a wallpaper stripper . This makes it possible to remove all small remains from the wall, but be careful; These blades are extremely sharp!

Behang.nl highly recommends the use of a wallpaper stripper, because it greatly simplifies the wallpapering process. Please note that it is also possible without a wallpaper steamer. If you plan to do more than one wall, it can be of added value. If it concerns a small wall with wallpaper, you can also soak it well with a sponge and water. However, this is physically more intensive and takes longer.
